Retail Business Process Architect - £600/day - Hybrid (Contract)

Retail Business Process Architect - 3 months (initial)

Location: North of England (travel required 3x a week)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Retail Business Process Architect to join our team. As a functional lead across wholesale, international, and franchise retail partners, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our retail business processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and profitability. Extensive retail background and experience are essential for this role. The successful candidate will also have a deep understanding of invoice, billing, and order management processes and be able to engage in regular conversations on the business with the most senior stakeholders in the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Process Analysis and Design:

    • Analyze existing retail business processes across wholesale, international, and franchise partners, including invoice, billing, and order management processes.
    • Design and implement optimized retail business processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
    • Engage in regular discussions with senior stakeholders to align business processes with organizational goals and strategies, including those related to invoice, billing, and order management.
  2. Retail Strategy Development:

    • Work closely with retail leadership to develop and refine retail strategies that support overall business objectives.
    • Identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in retail operations, particularly in invoice, billing, and order management.
    • Provide recommendations for strategic investments in technology and infrastructure to support retail initiatives, focusing on areas such as invoicing, billing systems, and order management platforms.
  3. Stakeholder Management:

    • Act as a liaison between retail teams and other departments, including IT, finance, supply chain, and marketing.
    • Engage with external partners, including wholesale, international, and franchise retail partners, to understand their needs and requirements, especially regarding invoicing, billing, and order management.
    • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior executives, to provide updates, gather insights, and drive alignment on invoice, billing, and order management processes.
  4. Change Management:

    • Lead change management efforts related to the implementation of new retail processes and systems, with a focus on invoice, billing, and order management.
    • Provide training and support to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
    • Engage with senior stakeholders to address concerns, gather feedback, and drive acceptance of changes in invoicing, billing, and order management.
  5. Continuous Improvement:

    • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the performance of retail business processes, including those related to invoicing, billing, and order management.
    • Monitor performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in these processes.
    • Engage in regular discussions with senior stakeholders to provide updates on performance, solicit feedback, and propose improvements in invoicing, billing, and order management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Extensive experience in retail business process architecture, with a focus on wholesale, international, and franchise retail operations.
  • Deep understanding of invoice, billing, and order management processes in a retail environment.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing retail business processes that drive operational excellence and business results.
  • Strong understanding of retail industry trends, best practices, and technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage in conversations with senior stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel 3 times a week within the North of England.
