My higher education organisation client is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Migration Analyst to join their team on a contract basis. If you have expertise in data migration, particularly using Aperture, this could be the role for you!

Position Overview:

As a Data Migration Analyst, you will play a crucial role within an ongoing data migration. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, plan, and execute data migration projects, leveraging your expertise in Aperture and Oracle SQL or SQL Developer.

This is a remote role, however, you may be required to visit the Manchester office occasionally. The budget for this role is £400-425 per day (Outside IR35). You must be immediately available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse existing data sources, structures, and formats.
• Develop data migration strategies and plans.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data using Aperture - (non-negotiable)
• Experience in Oracle SQL or previous SQL Developer roles.
• Ensure data quality and accuracy throughout the migration process.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to resolve data-related issues.
• Create and maintain documentation related to data migration processes.
• Monitor and report on the progress of migration projects.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related challenges.
• Provide technical support to end-users during the migration process.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in data migration projects, with a focus on Aperture and Oracle SQL or SQL Developer.
• Strong SQL Scripting skills and proficiency in working with relational databases.
• Experience using JIRA and Confluence
• Familiarity with data mapping and transformation techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with data quality assurance and validation.
• Knowledge of data governance principles is a plus.
